My ideal lifestyle in a year - Where to live
I’m a bit of a nomad sometimes, so while doing some MASSIVE reflection this weekend I wrote out an ideal year in terms of where I’d be living- putting some thought on this has been long overdue. This is of course a rough draft and may change but I really love the idea of mapping out your ideal life and then aiming for it.
3 weeks in NYC
1-1.5 months in the Bay Area
4-5 months in Los Angeles
3 weeks-1 month travelling
3 months - completely new places
1 week in Santa Barbara
4 weeks in France (about 2 weeks in Paris)
1-3 weeks in South America or anywhere very warm & tropical
In case you might be wondering how there could be one month traveling when it might seem that is practically all traveling- let me offer this distinction. I view traveling as doing something like the following: checking out shops, museums, checking out the local attractions, basically being a tourist. When I’m done with all the interesting things of the place, then I keep on traveling. I would compare this to LIVING somewhere by saying that when I feel like I’m doing this I am a part of the local community. I may be working, or volunteering or in some way connecting with the people and accomplishing some kind of goal or task.
