Now, you don’t need to awkwardly ask your neighbor that you’ve never met for a stick of butter - you can ask your friend across town and get it in minutes. Or you can have Postmates pick up your dry-cleaning, take boxes to UPS, bring you food, the list goes on and on. (I wonder if they would transport my dog to doggie day care…) It’s like a more segmented version of TaskRabbit, just for courier services. I think it could be a great idea, so long as their pricing is reasonable and competitive enough with what a TaskRabbit would charge. Although they are testing the service in San Francisco, they plan to scale broader soon after. Sign up on their site to be notified when they go live.
